This is not my first Phomemo printer. I love them and have a small printer which I use often. I use them to create labels for my herb/spice jars and make cute stickers to add when I send gifts and cards. It’s also handy to have them for my work, especially since I hate looking at my handwriting.When I saw this Phomemo’s letter-size thermal printer, I gasped. Do I really need this? I already have a small one and a regular ink printer for regular letter size printing. But I cannot bring the big printer to work or travel like this one. And I already KNOW how easy and useful this printer can be. Hmm… Ahh, whom am I kidding?! Yes, please!This came with a portable case and a few different-sized rolls of thermal paper, so I was able to try it out right away. The case is awesome. The smaller one I already have did not come with a case, so I actually bought a camera case for it. This one is perfect and it's less than a foot and it's not heavy at all.Because I already have Phomemo’s app on my phone, adding this device took literally less than 15 seconds.First, I tried the letter-size print. The letter-size paper was already in the printer, so it was ready to go. When I use the small Phomemo printer, I usually print the photo/image that’s been saved on my phone’s photo album or create a sticker on their app, then print them. Because I wanted to print a little thank-you note with an illustration, I created a document using Mac’s Pages (like Word on PC). But I couldn’t figure out how to do so. Then a pop-up came and gave me a simple tutorial on how to print from Pages (if anybody was interested, just click the “export/share” icon (the box with an arrow pointing upward), then click “edit” to add “Phomemo” then once the Phomemo icon appears, just tap it) to print.The one thing I couldn’t figure out, or they don’t have, was how to stop in the middle of the printing. I wanted to print a bigger illustration, but I didn’t have anything below half of the page. So I let it finish, then rewind the paper and tried to cut it. I couldn’t cut it nicely like I did when I printed the actual letter-size page, and the page got ripped. No biggie, I printed another one right away and used my paper cutter/slicer to do the job.What I was most excited about was to print on a piece of regular letter-size paper. So, I grabbed a piece from my printer and tried it out. Then… nothing… Ah! Silly me! I forgot that it has to be on thermal paper… So, l ordered a packet and now I can print it on a single piece of paper. The printer is super easy to feed the paper as well. I'm posting a few photos by the way.This printer can adjust to multiple sizes. So, if you don’t have a thermal printer and are thinking of needing more than one size, this will be a great one to have. It's fun to create stickers and labels. There are many different thermal labels out there, so even though it only prints in black, you can still have colorful stickers and labels.Someday, I hope they’ll make a thermal printer that prints in colors…
