Warmer than I thought!!!A bit pricey but worth it.Warm and cozy for nights by the campfire. Itchy to sleep with.We just finished building our sons bed and wanted something masculine yet warm and could tuck around the mattress.This blanket is very nice and my son loves how soft it is.Only complain is that it sheds, which is more obvious because he has black sheets.We also added a blanket under for the winter months as this blanket is warm but not warm enough on it's own.Would still buy it again. It's lovely and easy to make the bed.I read other reviews and was concerned about shedding. We ordered a gray blanket and have placed it between the sheets and a thinner top blanket, which are white. We have not noticed much shedding after a month of use. This could be because it is between two layers, but it just isn't shedding. I have allergy issues with wool/cashmere and have zero problems with this alpaca blanket. It looks great and is warm! Again, I read the reviews (laughed out loud at the one that said it shed "like a mofo.", but I have no issues. Highly recommend!This blanket is a large throw. It is beautiful and soft and probably very comfy. But it’s not, by any stretch of the imagination, heavy weight. I returned it without any issues.I purchased this for my cokd winter nights in my Virginia home. It is a great investment. It more than exceeded my expectations. I have traveled around the world and seen many of these, but the workmanship, quality, and beauty of this blanket is superior. It does have, as expected a rough texture but, I use it over my regular cover. It is not too heavy or too light. It is just perfect. Great investmentWarm and large enough to fit my twin bed. Only down side is that because it is a brushed fabric, there is some shedding. I'm still very happy with its looks and warmth.Oh, how I love this blanket! I had it dry-cleaned before I used it. I've had it on my bed for 5 nights, and it's the best warmth I've ever had. My cold-cold feet are toasty warm now, I'm getting better sleep because of it. Shedding is almost none, I wouldn't even mention it, but for other comments I've read from others who have bought this blanket. It's a generous size on my queen-size bed, and it's beautiful. I strongly recommend dry-clean only. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!Within seconds of arrival the cat checked it out and like me approves.
