We couldn't be more pleased with this wine suitcase. I contemplated buying the Wine Check Elite because 1) it was cheaper and 2) you could fold it down and pack it in something else, but went out on a limb and bought the VinGarde. The only downside I could come up with is if you take wine with you somewhere and aren't bringing wine back (but instead bringing back a lot of other stuff) you don't have any options to pack much of anything else into it. I guess that means I need to bring wine back!Lastly, we didn't use the straps to secure the bag because we didn't feel like the case needed it, but also because I was afraid they might get caught on something during baggage handling. They are a tad cumbersome to put on, but definitely secure and sturdy.I would definitely recommend this piece of luggage. It's exactly what the company says it is and does.Worked as advertised, not a scratch from the airline. I’m glad I chose the 8 bottle model since it was easy for me to lift when full. Great bag!This case appears to be really solid, sturdy and able to protect the wine.The 8 bottle VinGardeValise wine suitcase is exactly what I needed. The wines arrived in perfect condition. In each half of the wine suitcase each bottle sits in its own foam compartment. A layer of foam placed on top of each side is held in place with luggage straps. There is an additional layer of foam between the two sides to ensure the bottles from opposing sides are not in direct contact.This was my first time using the wine suitcase, so I was anxious to see how it traveled. I was happy to see, once I reached my destination, that the wine arrived safely.I have not used it yet but the appearance, padding, structure all appear to be amazing. I look forward to packing my wine when I am able to fly again. Also like the option to pack half with wine and half with clothes should I need (although prob will always do all wine)Love it! It’s easy to wheel around. I packed 8 bottles from my recent trip and they fit nicely. More than enough padding around the bottles so I don’t have to worry about them breaking. I no longer have to wrap my bottles around clothes and bubble wrap. Saves me so much time!Not quite sure what to do with the straps though.I used the suitcase only once so far, but so far so good, the wines arrived in perfect condition after 1 connection and a 12-hours flight. One thing no picture or review seem to mention is that besides the bottle compartments on top of it there are a foam protection that closes each side, plus another foam layer that you can place between the 2 sides, so the bottles from opposing sides are not in direct contact, which was something that was concerning to me before I bought it.Straps on the outside were not the most effective so I snapped then under the handles so they wouldn't just slide off.Porta vino
